13 October 2017

At the Our Ocean Conference held in Malta on 5 & 6 October, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation announced that Coca-Cola Company, MARS, M & S, PepsiCo, Unilever and Werner & Mertz already participate in the New Plastics Economy initiative, and are committed to the use of 100% recyclable, reusable packaging and packaging by 2025 that consist of materials that can be broken down into environmentally-friendly ingredients.

In this context, Coca-Cola Company announced: "As a member of Circular Economy 100 and a key partner of New Plastics Economy, we proudly take part in the commitment of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, aiming at our core packaging being recyclable to 100% by 2025. This goal is an extension of the effort we already make so that all of our packaging is recyclable. Most of the bottles and cans used to package our products are already 100% recyclable. From now on, the entire range of packaging will be 100% recyclable. "
