The Greek Space Team White Noise of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) has been very successful in the annual CanSat simulation training contest. The competition was held in Texas, United States, on 14-17 June, by the Astronautical Society (AAS) with the support of NASA and Goddard Space Flight Center. White Noise is the first Greek team to be able to get the CanSat Final Entry Ticket in the US, where each year the best aerospace students from the best universities in the world participate. The score made by White Noise was 94.756%, winning 4th place among 93 teams.

 

The 1969 lunar landing was an unprecedented achievement — a milestone in human history.

How did it happen? Decades of relentless scientific development as well as courageous astronauts who were determined to explore the unknown did the trick.

Dr. Georgia Virginia Panopoulou is one of twenty-four scientists who were recently granted a fellowship by Hubble Fellowship Program of NASA (NHFP) to conduct postdoctoral research in California.

The NHFP aims to enable outstanding postdoctoral scientists to pursue independent research in the realm of NASA astrophysics, using theory, observation, experimentation, or instrument development. Each fellowship provides the awardee up to three years of support.

After the 2018 SelectUSASummit, Yoleni's Hellas opened its first physical store in the U.S., in Providence, Rhode Island, in an 1895 landmark building following Yoleni's Flagship store model, in downtown Athens, Greece.
