Greeks Gone West

2 October 2015

A surfer. Twin scriptwriters. A pathologist. One of the most powerful people in tech. A priest. Prepare to meet them and others over the next month as we reboot ‪#‎GreeksGoneWest‬, an annual series of video profiles of diaspora Greeks in the United States.

U.S. EMBASSY ATHENS, in collaboration with HuffPost Greece, proudly presents #GreeksGoneWest, a series of video vignettes that depict life in the U.S. through the work experiences of a score of people with roots in Greece. The series, currently in its second season, was born of the desire to highlight the world of work in the U.S. and to leverage Greece's talented diaspora in the U.S.

"What I like about these profiles is the honesty. The subjects don't pretend things are easy, that every day is wine and roses. What comes through, though, is the sense of accomplishment they feel from finding their place in the world. There's a compelling restlessness to their stories. It's clear, to steal the idea of Arianna Huffington, that they've found a way to thrive." - U.S. Ambassador to Greece, David D. Pearce.

We hope you enjoy watching them as much as we enjoyed filming them!
