Vassilis Nassis and The Big Bang of interconnected objects

Dr. Nassis is aware of the IoT revolution (Internet of Things) since 2008 he founded Netronix, one of the industry's leaders. The platform he has developed and the innovative solutions based on it have been utilized in products and services by 300 external partners in areas such as environmental monitoring, fleet monitoring and many more.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is one of the fastest growing and promising trends in the global tech industry. It is no accident that many identify it with the 4th Industrial Revolution. IoT describes a wide range of devices and objects that incorporate sensors, electronic media, software and network connectivity to interconnect or access the internet.

At the Athens Science Festival 2018, Nassis will refer to his vision for the future of IOT and will analyze the business opportunities he already offers. He has also been active in the business and academia for the last 15 years, with significant contributions to the fields of telecommunications, digital wave analysis and computational vision.

Nassis began his academic career at the University of Drexel, where he received B.Sc, M.Sc and Ph.D degrees in Electrical Computer Engineering, and since 2008 he has been a member of the academic community of the University.
