The Onassis Cultural Centre and the Fulbright Foundation invite you to a presentation featuring Alexa Mills, journalist, discussing "Cases in Collaboration: Artists Making Artists Out of You".

Artists are no longer alone in their studios, but out in the world, looking to cultivate the artists in every person. In this presentation, Boston-based journalist Alexa Mills will present the work of a small collection of artists, both locally and nationally, who have abandoned their studios and taken to the streets and neighborhoods to collaborate with their fellow citizens.

Alexa Mills writes for Boston publications about the people of her city, as well as the planning issues that impact their lives. She has taught journalism and storytelling at Emerson College, Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. From 2008-2013, she worked at the MIT Community Innovators Lab in the MIT Department of Urban Studies and Planning, where she founded CoLab Radio, an online publication in which people who are committed to improving their communities can share their projects and express their ideas.

Alexa earned her BA in English, with a concentration in Medieval Literature, from Cornell University in 2003. She earned her Master's in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2008. Before attending MIT, Alexa was an advocate for domestic violence survivors of the Washington D.C. city courthouse.

Entrance to the event is free and on a first come, first served basis.
The distribution of entrance tickets begins one (1) hour before the event.
