Nights of Classical Music at the Gennadius Library

28 September 2016

The Schwarz Foundation and the Gennadius Library of the American School of Classical Studies are organizing the festival Nights of Classical Music at the Gennadius Library, with Curtis on Tour, the Nina von Maltzahn Global Touring Initiative, which brings to Athens important musicians of the famous Curtis Institute of Music from September 28 through October 1, 2016.

Masses of Athenians flocked into last year's concerts sealing the success of the program, which aspires to animate the cultural landscape of Athens, right in the interval between summer and autumn. The intercultural perspective of the Schwarz Foundation meets with the long, august tradition of the Gennadius Library and the celebrated Curtis Institute guaranteeing that these concerts hosted in the auditorium Cotsen Hall of the American School, a room overlooking a beautiful garden of Athens, will be of high quality.

Nights of Classical Music... A great way to welcome autumn, a musical epilogue with familiar rhythms, favorite tunes, timeless melodies and special guests from the world music scene.
