A tribute to the contemporary Greek jazz scene by the Stavros Niarchos Cultural Center outlines the different expressions of this free musical language in Greece, proposing old and new sounds, funk and classical rhythms, orchestral and vocal shapes.
On Saturday 09/09, at 21:00, one of the most important saxophonists of his generations Craig Handy, with many collaborations, meets one of the most well-known Greek saxophonists, Giannis Kassetas, at Panoramic Steps. Giannis Kassetas has released 5 personal albums, with the most recent one being Northern Light, including Craig Handy.
On Sunday 10/09, at 21.00, the audience will have the opportunity to wander in the musical universe of Theo Kapilidis Quartet, again at Panoramic Steps. Theodoros Kapilidis, jazz guitarist and composer along with his quartet, including Florian Egli, Raphael Walser and Maxime Paratte, will bring visitors to his musical world combining all the colorful range and conceptual abundance of traditional Hardbopjazz and Souljazz.
