«Hello Anatolia»: A young expat from the U.S. decides to live in Smyrna

The world premiere screening of the documentary "Hello Anatolia" by the Greek American filmmaker Chrysovalantis Stamelos was held on Tuesday, March 19 at the American College of Greece.

The "Hello Anatolia" recounts the reunion of its creator, the Greek American filmmaker Chrysovalantis Stamelos, with his roots in Smyrna, through browsing the former Greek neighborhoods of Asia Minor, interviewing Greeks of Turkey, and exploring the local art and culture. Stamelos, who chose to make Smyrna his permanent residence, tearing down the walls that divide the two nations with a long history of conflicts, while building bridges between the Aegean and America.

The production of the movie / documentary was made by Crescent Street Films, LLC with executive producer the Greek America Foundation and Gregory Pappas.
