Lecture on ‘Global Wine Tourism and the Great Wine Capitals’

4 June 2013

The Association of Friends of the American Far School in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Athens invites you to a lecture on 'Global Wine Tourism and the Great Wine Capitals" by Mr. Clay Gregory, President and CEO of Visit Napa Valley.

Clay Gregory has more than 25 years of marketing and management experience in multiple industries, building consensus and developing outstanding programs with a wide variety of partners across many fields. He is currently the President and CEO of Visit Napa Valley (VNV), whose mission is to promote, protect and enhance the Napa Valley's position as North America's premier wine, food, arts and wellness destination. In his first year with the organization (2009-2010) Gregory worked with key stakeholders in the Napa Valley, including the lodging and wine industries, the Country and all five incorporated cities and towns to put in place a Tourism Improvement District that increased VNV's marketing budget by more than ten-fold. The result has been more effective marketing of the Napa Valley as a destination in the last three years than had taken place in the previous twenty.

The lecture will be in English and will take place at the Capsis Conference Center, Parnonos 10, Maroussi on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 19:00. Non-Association members will pay a contribution of 5 euro at the entrance.
