A play straight from London to Athens
30.10.2013 till 04.11.2013
The London based Theatre Lab Company invite you to the first stop of their European tour of "Salome", the forbidden play of Oscar Wilde. Following last season's sold out performances in London, "Salome", directed by Anastasia Revi will visit more European cities for four exclusive engagements (Athens, Prague Fringe Festival, Madrid, Paris).
Decadence, sensuality, beauty, envy, the words of a prophet, a mother's jealousy, a young girl's overwhelming desire, a stepfather's lustful demand and a dance that turns the moon red.
"Salome" is a site specific theatrical live musical performance set in the 1930's, where the atmosphere of the space is very similar to that of the "decadent palace" of Oscar Wilde's play.
Irish author Oscar Wilde captures the notion of dark sarcasm and adumbrates the extremity of desire while Anastasia Revi's creative imagination manages to reveal the hidden beauty of decay and fascinate the public, which is actively participating as guests of king's Herod.
