Early Entry Prize Winner of the “Destination: Change. New Solutions for Greece” Competition Announced

Ashoka, The Hellenic Initiative, the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, Boehringer Ingelheim Ellas, and SAP Hellas launched Destination: Change. New Solutions for Greece, an online competition, on March 12, 2014 to source, highlight, and catalyze innovative social change projects in Greece.

Today, we are thrilled to announce the Early Entry Prize winner of the Destination: Change. New Solutions for Greece competition: Filisia.

This entry was evaluated per the Ashoka Changemakers criteria — innovation, social impact, and operational sustainability — as the best competition entry submitted at or before the April 11, 2014 early-entry deadline.

Filisia: creates accessible music and multimedia interfaces that support the rehabilitation process of people with disabilities, and are designed with therapists, users and families.

The Destination: Change competition will accept entries up until the close of the entry period on May 19, 2014. The winners will receive €40,000 in prizes, and one of these winners will receive an SAP® Business One software with licences for 3 users. The winners will be announced in July 2014.

Competition entries can cover a range of solutions, including: social and economic inclusion of vulnerable populations; health and access to healthcare; strengthening community development through environmental solutions, and supporting healthy and active aging.
