Gallery Genesis completes the exhibition season 2013 -2014 with Christina Darra's exhibition entitled «Life is like an ice-cream» from July 1 to July 12.
Life is Like An Ice-Cream, Enjoy it Before it Melts! According to Wikipedia, for the historical origins of ice cream, information and publications are conflicting. Since the ice cream is frozen dairy product, its construction requires cooling, so snow or ice, given the lack of technological process cooling in the old days.
The prevalent view today is that of cross invention. Namely that ice cream was invented in several parts of the world where there was access to snow and ice. So the most common view is of Chinese origin from Himalayas and cream of rice flour, milk and honey.
Another view says that the ice cream was created 4,000 years ago in Mesopotamia, but it is a wonder how this area had snow or ice.
Another version of the origin of ice cream is that it was created in the 18th century in Great Britain and America. However documented historical information is that the Italian immigrant in the U.S. Marcionni introduced the first ice cream cone in the world with production through carbon dioxide (dry ice).
