Athens – The U.S. Embassy Athens, in collaboration with the Exile Room, again welcomes to Greece the American Film Showcase, a multifaceted exploration of American documentary and a unique partnership with the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. The program features award-winning films from the past two years, along with workshops and special presentations both for filmmakers and industry professionals as well as students and youth audiences. This year, the focus of the Showcase is on gender equality and increasing the number of women in the film industry.

#DisinfoWeek Europe is a series of strategic dialogues focused on the global challenge of disinformation. Public events will take place in Athens on March 4, in Madrid on March 5, and in Brussels on March 7-8, 2019. The Atlantic Council, together with U.S. Missions and Embassies in Europe, is delighted to invite you to join us for these discussions.

If you are a student between 16-18 years old and you are living in Alexandroupoli or in the wider region, you can apply for a scholarship to the Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellows Summer Institute http://bftf.org/ in the U.S., June / July, 2019.

A legendary play, forever associated with Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton thanks to the film of the same name, is to be staged from December 12 - at the Onassis Stegi as a “living museum” of behaviours from decades past.

The Benaki Museum, the U.S. Embassy Athens and the British Council are organizing the conference "THE CO-MUSEUM: Synergies, Coalitions and Partnerships between museums, cultural initiatives, civil society and beyond"

The American director of the award-winning “My Architect” arrives in Athens to present his new documentary and discuss with the public about the relationship of the movies with real life, visual art, architecture and art as a whole.

If each artwork has its own price, then who decides about it? And if the modern artistic world is now tuned into a ruthless stock market, who is to blame? Provocative questions along with revealing answers will be provided by Nathaniel Khan with his documentary “The Price of Everything”, which will be screened at the 24th Athens Film Festival - Premiere Nights.
