Online Discussion on "Greek Women in Stem"

The FLEX alumni community invites you to a discussion in Greek on Women at STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) on February 13 @ 11:30 am via zoom, in which successful women in the field will participate. Participation is free and registration is mandatory. You will find the subscription link in the bio (with the subscription you will also be sent your personalized link directly to join the discussion). U.S. Mission to Greece and Found.ation host TechCamp Thessaloniki: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs

The U.S. Mission to Greece is pleased to announce a partnership with Found.ation to host “TechCamp Thessaloniki: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs” September 6-8, 2020 at the 84th Thessaloniki International Fair. Supporting female-led startups and creating equal opportunities for women in the entrepreneurship ecosystem are the goals of “TechCamp Thessaloniki.” It will provide tailored training for a diverse group of female entrepreneurs from Greece and the region. The three-day program will feature a highly collaborative and hands-on acceleration process made up of brainstorming sessions, small group discussions, and training workshops that provide innovative solutions to real challenges identified by the participants. “TechCamp Thessaloniki” is an innovative educational platform developed and fully funded by the U.S. State Department (https://techcamp.america.gov).

 Dr. Nadina Christopoulou was selected as one of the IVLP #FacesofExchange for empowering migrant and refugee women in Greece as the director and cofounder of the Melissa Network.

Dr. Nadina Christopoulou is an anthropologist empowering migrant and refugee women in Greece as the director and cofounder of the Melissa Network. In 2015, she participated in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) “Women Leaders: Promoting Peace and Security,” initiative which led her to conclude that it is most effective to prevent violent extremism through education and public engagement.
