The Animasyros International Animation Festival and Forum grows and remains restless. The New Year has found us with our luggage full of cinematic gifts and a disposition to explore! Our journey begins with the Panorama of American Animation, which will take place on February 27th-28th at Trikala in collaboration with the Municipality of Trikala and the support of the US Embassy in Greece.
The international competitive Be there! Corfu Animation Festival (16-19 October 2014, Corfu) has the pleasure to announce the participation of 14 US films in its official program, a record number from its previous editions.
On this occasion animasyros will present to the Athenian public a taste of this year's actions in the first pre-festival event, which will take place on September 29, 2014 at 19.00 at the Benaki Museum (Piraeus Buiding), with the support of the Museum.
AnimaSyros 7.0 International Animation Film Festival + Forum returns in Hermoupolis, on 25-28 September 2014, hosting once again two distinct competition sections (international + student), tributes in fellow animation festivals, educational workshops plus multiple satellite activities throughout its duration!
With the backdrop of the first Greek animated feature by Angelos Spartalis, an animated journey "From the Earth to the Moon," and guest staring Paranorman, the 11 year old kid with the protruding ears and psychic abilities, Animasyros is preparing feverishly for the 6th international Festival, in Syros island, on September 26-29.
Mickey Mouse and Shrek are just a couple of the American animated characters that are beloved the world over. And they are examples of the evolution of animation, which has brought unique new life to the film industry.
From March 7, until March 13, 2013, in the Greek Film Archive, 167 short cut animation films from Greece and 33 other countries including USA, Spain, Poland, UK, Italy, Mexico, Germany, Netherlands, Israel, France and Russia, will participate in a contest.
Join the oasis by submitting your animation film by the 15th of June 2013. αniμasyros 6.0 will take place on September 26-29, 2013 in Hermoupolis, Syros Island (Greece) as always. The festival includes screenings of films from all over the world, tributes to international animation film festivals, workshops, seminars, the professional forum and above all the competition section.
