In this presentation, Boston-based journalist Alexa Mills will present the work of a small collection of artists, both locally and nationally, who have abandoned their studios and taken to the streets and neighborhoods to collaborate with their fellow citizens.

A former child prodigy, Aaron Parks, now thirty, has achieved a lot: university studies (piano, composition, Maths, computers), awards, recordings and all manner of collaborations. Highly-regarded publications have called him a "player and composer of great depth with a truly cinematic vision", "the most rapidly rising star of them all", and "a step ahead of the rest". And he isn't coy about his influences: Ran Blake, Paul Bley, Bartók's Hungarian folk songs.

The Onassis Cultural Center in partnership with SKEP – Association of Social responsibility for Children and Youth, and the U.S. Embassy in Athens is organizing a free workshop with visual artist and educator Timothy Lomas, from June 23-27, 2014, for children 9-14 years old. The visual arts workshop will include children with disabilities and without disabilities, working together to prepare their own exhibition.
